North East Weak Signal Group

Our group is the North East Weak Signal Group. We are an ARRL affiliated regional club dedicated to the interests of "weak signal" work on the bands 50 MHz - Light. Within our group (over 100 members), we have a lot of technical expertise within our club which can help with about any question or problem conceivable on VHF and up. Some of our regularly participating members include K1FO, K1UHF, W1FKF, W1GHZ, W1RIL, and WA1MBA. These are our current Officers and Board of Directors. This is our current membership database.

Our bi-monthly NEWS-LETTER is mailed about 2 to 3 weeks prior to our meetings. Each meeting is held on a Saturday from 1 - 4 pm. and will feature either a noted speaker or 'show & tell' presentation on a VHF-SHF related topic. N.E.W.S. also sponsors the *NEW* Eastern VHF/UHF Conference each year, along with hands-on support from manufacturers like Down East Microwave and Directive Systems. N.E.W.S. invites all of its' members within 175 miles to help the club compete in the January ARRL VHF Sweepstakes each year. N.E.W.S. won the gavel in the Medium Category for 1994. Our present meeting place is the Storrs Library in Longmeadow, MA (25 miles north of Hartford, if northbound I-91 to exit 49, right off exit - 2 miles north on Rt 5. If Southbound I-91 to exit 1, 1.5 miles south on Rt 5, library is on left just before Rt 192).
